How to Renew Materials

Hold a Book

HPD Library Login

To Login to:

  • Databases,
  • your HPD Library Account or
  • your HPD ILL Account

1. NSU Current Students, NSU recent graduates (6 months or less after graduation), Faculty and Staff: use the Blue login:

  • enter your username from your NSU email address
  • enter your NSU password used for your courses or the SharkLink portal

[For example: if your NSU email address is sally123@nova.edu, please enter sally123 for your username and enter the same password used for your NSU SharkLink or Blackboard account.]

2. HPD Clinical Faculty or Registered HPD Alumni: use the Brown login:

  •  enter your last name into the username box.
  • enter your HPD Library ID into the password box.

Your InterLibrary Loan Account

FREE service for HPD:

To Login to your ILLIAD (InterLibrary Loan) Account: https://illiad.library.nova.edu/FEO/logon.html

1. Order:

  • journal articles,
  • books, book chapters,
  • conference papers,
  • ERIC documents or
  • dissertations from other libraries that are not available at HPD Library.
  • Distance students may request materials located at the HPD Library to be sent by email (articles) or mail (books).

3. Receive and View:

  • When your ILLIAD order is filled, you will receive an email.
  • Login to your ILLIAD account
  • Choose View >Electronically Received Articles
  • open PDF to view.

NSU HPD Alumni Info

New graduates retain full HPD Library access for the first 6 months after graduation before their status changes to Alumni.

Options for HPD grads after 6 months:

1. Register at NSU Alumni Portal http://nova.campusguides.com/nsu-alumni/

2. Do you reside or work in Broward County? Become a Broward County Library Patron http://www.nova.edu/library/portal/browardadults.html .

  • Reserve due in 3 hours
  • Fines: we charge for lost or damaged books

Journals:

Print Journals do not circulate.

  • Due in 3 hours

Study Room key

Study Rooms:

  • Due in 3 hours
  • Study Room keys in HPD Library activate the alarm if you try to leave with them
