ACCEC Law School Practical Skills Writing Competition

American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel (“ACCEC”) Law School Practical Skills Writing Competition on Insurance Law Problem.

Subject:  An Insurance Law Problem

Deadline: Friday, March 16, 2018, at 12:00 noon Eastern Time

Prize:  First Place: $2,000, Second Place: $1,500, Third Place: 1,000.  The winners will receive an invitation to attend the ACCEC Annual Meeting in Chicago on May 17-18, 2018 funded by a travel stipend from the ACCEC, and a plague acknowledging the achievement.

Requirements: No more than 3,000 words

Judging Criteria: The submissions will be evaluated based ont he quality of the legal arguments, the persusaiveness of hte writing, and the quality of the writing (including citation form according to the Bluebook).  Competitors must use only the policy and the case law accompanying this assignment.  Competitions may not cite to any other authorities.
