Peer-reviewed (also called refereed) journals are recognized as scholarly by their academic or medical peers.
How to locate peer reviewed journals:
Identify peer-reviewed journals by searching for the journal title (NOT the article title) in Ulrichsweb.
Go to Ulrichsweb
Type in the Journal name (not the article title)
Look for the black icon to the left of the journal name. If there is not an icon, the journal is not peer reviewed.
Note: If a journal is available in multiple formats, print, electronic, etc., there will be several entries listed in Ulrichs.
