The NSU Libraries' team welcomes you to Nova Southeastern University. As NSU students you have access to all four of the libraries - the library you use as part of your program is the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center. There are policies for what you can access when and how for the Health Professions Division (HPD) Library, Panza Maurer Law Library, and Oceanographic Campus Library. It's important to have your NSU ID (SharkCard) with you when you visit any of the libraries. Note that the Oceanographic Library is not on Main Campus and visiting is restricted -- there is no drop-in access.
The SharkCard is the official Nova Southeastern University identification card, and it has many uses in the library. It's your library card, and a way to pay for printing and photocopies. You'll need it to prove your identity to check out materials. You use the card to swipe at gated parking areas, including the NSU parking garage near the Alvin Sherman Library.
The card is required for all residential/local students attending classes on campus. Many online/distance CAHSS students visit NSU's campuses so it's good to get the card so you will be prepared.
All NSU students who plan on parking a vehicle on university property must obtain a parking permit as well.
